Silk / fibre paper making

I use a technique called silk / fibre paper making or silk fusion as the basis of my practice. I fuse together naturally dyed natural fibres to create a paper-like ground material. I then hand stitch into the fibre paper to create unique and individual artwork.

I also use my own home grown flax fibres to make the basic fibre paper. I love the fact that I can use a material that is not pre-made.
