Stitch
I can't ever remember a time when I haven't stitched, from a young child threading buttons onto a needle or stitching into paper shapes to making my own clothes as a teenager. I still remain passionate about stitch in all its various styles.
I use stitch in the same way as a pencil when I draw, to create volume and different textures. Mark making with the threads in a looser more organic way.
Because all of my stitch is done by hand it has a variability and irregularity which I embrace and build on as I stitch the details.
